Our firm was founded in 1973 by Edgar M. Johnson, Jr., who started the practice as a sole proprietor. Over the years, the firm has grown steadily and rapidly, and in 2023, the firm name was changed to Johnson, Mizelle, Straub & Consolvo, LLP. Today, we employ six CPAs and 15 non-licensed staff to serve a continuously growing clientele.

We have active practices in accounting and auditing, tax planning and preparation, technology consulting and application, and small business consulting. This has evolved our firm into a full-fledged accounting and consulting firm serving the Outer Banks of North Carolina and beyond.
