Welcome to Smith & Sem, Ltd., a leading provider of accounting and CPA-related services in West Central Minnesota. Our story began in 1988 when Michael Smith started the business to cater to the needs of corporations, small businesses, and individuals in the region. Over the years, we have evolved to meet the changing needs of our clients, partnering with Fred Evenson in 1994 to form Smith Evenson & Co. After Fred's passing in 2004, the firm was renamed Michael R. Smith, Ltd. In 2015, we partnered with Kyle A. Sem, CPA to become Smith & Sem, Ltd., further expanding our capabilities and services.

Additionally, we provide sales tax filings, 1095C filings, and 1099 reporting services.
