Quality Tax & Bookkeeping Services, Inc. has been providing tax and accounting services in the Western Massachusetts area since 1986. Our company was founded by Susan Lastowski, a graduate of Bates College with a graduate degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Sue has a background in auditing and has worked with various area CPA firms before starting her own business. She worked part-time while holding a full-time teaching position in the Holyoke Public School System. Over the years, the business grew through word-of-mouth referrals, and in 2000, Sue left her teaching job to focus on the business full-time. Marjorie Camerlin, a business owner herself, joined the company in 2000, bringing her accounting and business background from Central Connecticut State University. Together, these two women have nurtured Quality Tax & Bookkeeping Services, Inc. into a 2400-client operation.

What's New at QT&B for 2015?

This is our last tax season. Sue will be retiring this year (official closing date is November 15, 2016). She will be interviewing prospective successors, ensuring that the person who is rewarded with her referrals will be competent, reasonable, and personable. After this tax season, Sue will send all of her clients a letter giving them information about a new recommended tax person, client, and tax worksheets needed to complete their taxes in the future.
