Our Team
Our team at Crisp Bookkeeping is led by a group of highly qualified women who are passionate about helping small businesses succeed. Our founder, Maria Crisp, started the company in Encinitas, California in 2010, joined by her sisters Nicole and Christina. Together, they have unique expertise in finance and accounting, having lived in Japan, Korea, Macau, Chile, and Australia, giving them a deep understanding of different cultures and business practices.
Our team also includes Amy, a former Taxpayer Advocate with the IRS who is now a senior accounting manager; Erica, from Orange County, who began in a data role and transitioned to tax and compliance, leveraging her extensive experience as a legal assistant; and Heather, who maintains a successful bookkeeping business in San Diego and joined as a controller responsible for financial planning and analysis. Together, we have created a bookkeeping firm that is known for its high level of service, commitment to excellence, and ability to meet the needs of a diverse range of clients.
Maria Crisp - Owner/Founder
Maria Crisp is the founder and driving force behind Crisp Bookkeeping. With over 20 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and auditing, she has obtained a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field. She started the firm in North San Diego County in 2010 and today, it serves a diverse range of local businesses across various industries. When not running the business, Maria is an avid global traveler, who loves skiing and running. She is also a community-minded individual who dedicates her time to volunteering at local retirement communities, delivering food with Mamas Kitchen, and fostering special needs animals through two local humane societies. Her dedication to helping others and passion for community service is evident in her business, where she strives to provide an excellent level of service to her clients.
