Firm Profile

Collins & Company, CPAs is a family-owned and managed accounting firm that has been serving the community since 1975. Founded by Mike Collins Sr., the practice was established as a sole proprietorship and was later incorporated in 1982. In 1991, the name was changed to Collins & Company, P.C. when Mike's sons Mike Jr. and Brian became shareholders. Today, the firm has four full-time team members and provides tax and accounting services for over 1,000 businesses and individuals in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.

Our team of certified public accountants (CPAs) and financial professionals has the knowledge and expertise to help you navigate the complex world of tax and financial management. Here's a little more about each of our team members:

Mike Collins, CPA, CFP

Mike received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Widener University in 1987. He earned his Certified Public Accountant license in 1990 and has over 30 years of public accounting experience. In 1995, Mike earned his Certified Financial Planner designation from the College for Financial Planning located in Denver, Colorado.

Mike is a speaker for the Internal Revenue Service Taxpayer Education Program and has given presentations on various tax-related topics. He is a registered QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Society of Tax Professionals, and the Delaware County Attorney/CPA Forum.

Brian Collins, CPA, CFP

Brian received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Shippensburg University in 1987. He earned his Certified Public Accountant license in 1990 and has over 30 years of public accounting experience. In 1993, Brian earned his Certified Financial Planner designation from the College for Financial Planning located in Denver, Colorado.

Jim Cunningham, CPA

Jim received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Villanova University in 1982. He earned his Certified Public Accountant license in 1998 and has over 20 years of public accounting experience. He has been with Collins & Company since 2001. Prior to his life in public accounting, Jim spent thirteen years in industry.

He is knowledgeable about accounting and tax matters that affect small businesses. He is proficient in QuickBooks, as well as most Microsoft products. Jim is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Adam Collins

Adam received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Alabama in 2019. He earned his Certified Public Accountant license in 2023. In Memory of Gail Bush 1961-2019 Gail was our beloved friend and office manager for over 26 years. She is remembered for her smiling face, competence, and compassion. Her friendship and talents are missed dearly.
