Our Mission

Our mission is to assist our clients in giving unto Caesar only what he is due. We strive to serve our clients in a professional, friendly, and competent manner. We work hard for our clients so that we may deserve their confidence and trust.

About Us

Our story began in the late 1950s when Barry's father, Donald Lindenbusch, started preparing income tax returns in St. Louis. The Lindenbusch family has been continuously preparing income tax returns for over half the time that the 16th amendment to the U.S. Constitution was initiated in 1913. Donald moved to a farm in Centertown in August 1963 and prepared his first return for his burgeoning part-time accounting and tax practice on January 11, 1964. Our firm continued preparing that taxpayer's return until she passed away well over four decades later.

Barry and Dedra now operate the business that Barry's dad nourished and built over three decades of his life. In May 2011, it was ten years since Barry's dad passed away. The old axiom, "the only certainty in life is death and taxes" is very true.

Barry's Background

In 1981, Barry entered college, initially paying for it using sawmill dollars. In December 1987, using tax preparation dollars, he finally earned a degree in Accounting from Central Missouri State University. The value of hard work and perseverance he inherited from his parents. Those same qualities he fortunately found in a spouse, Dedra Peck, whom he married in 1991. Dedra learned how to prepare taxes from the same man who taught Barry.

Dedra's Background

Dedra inherited her accounting and business acumen from her parents and grandfather. Her computer skills and accounting software knowledge were self-taught. In 2009, Dedra passed the E.A. (Enrolled Agents) exam on her first attempt, qualifying her as a professional in the area of taxation by the Internal Revenue Service and her peers. Over the last dozen years, Dedra has attended tax, computer, and accounting classes at nearly three times the rate that her new license requires.

Our decision to remain small and operate in the country is a good fit for Barry and Dedra. They can raise their daughters in the serenity and calmness not found in cities. They invite you into their home so that they may help you with your accounting, payroll, and tax needs. They hope you find their environment as peaceful as they do.
