Judy D Wagner CPA & Associates is a certified public accounting (CPA) firm located in Wellington, Colorado. Our office is situated on the east end of Wellington's main street, Cleveland Avenue, next to the Loaf-and-Jug gas station, in a one-story brick office complex. We have been providing tax and accounting services to individuals and businesses in Northern Colorado and beyond since 1994.

Our team is dedicated to offering personalized service and genuine concern for our clients' needs. We believe in building long-term relationships with our clients and strive to provide the highest level of service and expertise. Our normal business hours are from 9 to 5, Monday through Friday. However, we offer flexible appointment times, including evenings and Saturdays, to accommodate our clients' busy schedules. We recommend scheduling an appointment during the busy tax season, which runs from January 15 to April 15.

Our Team

Judy D Wagner, CPA, CGMA, is the founder and owner of Judy D Wagner CPA & Associates. Judy graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Education from the University of Iowa and earned her Master's degree in Managerial Accounting from Colorado State University. She became a licensed CPA in 1983 and has since been licensed as a Chartered Global Managerial Accountant. Judy has over 35 years of experience in government and private sector accounting, as well as in auditing and running her own accounting practice.

Renee Reuth, ATP, has been a valuable member of our team since joining us in 2016. Renee graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in 1994 and has worked in the local banking and mortgage industries for over 26 years. She has also provided bookkeeping services to several small businesses in Northern Colorado. Renee has obtained the Accredited Tax Preparer status and is currently working towards obtaining the Enrolled Agent accreditation.

Bill Wagner holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from Chicago State University and a Doctorate in Geography & Urban Studies from the University of Iowa. Bill taught at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and Colorado State University before joining the Colorado Department of Human Services as a management, budget and policy analyst. He is now retired but has worked for Judy in his "semi-retirement" for the past eight years.

Sheryl is a recent addition to our team, joining us in 2022. She has a BA in Communication & Theatre, with an emphasis in Secondary Education from the University of Utah. Sheryl has worked in a variety of fields, including teaching, radio, marketing, and executive sales. She has also traveled extensively, visiting Hawaii, the Caribbeans coasts, San Juan, and several US States.

Tiphanie Wainscott grew up in Gillette, WY, and graduated from High School there. She started working with Capital One, becoming an Escalations Senior Supervisor. From there, she worked with The Golf Channel as a Program Manager and most recently with the Bank in the Mortgage Loan Department. Tiphanie joined our team in 2021 and has been learning the ins and outs of tax season.

Mary McCumber holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Regis University. She has worked for a variety of companies as an accountant, as well as maintaining a small private accounting practice. Mary is experienced in tax preparation and in payroll and bookkeeping services, using QuickBooks most often. She has worked for Judy for over twelve years, currently part-time as needed.
