Joe Morris, the Founder and Owner of Morris Tax and Accounting, envisioned a firm that delivered exceptional quality and personalized care to each client. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Joe brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Morris Tax and Accounting. His career path has been diverse, encompassing roles in the executive teams of businesses across various industries, including agriculture, healthcare, mining, and transportation.

His experience ranges from managing burgeoning start-up companies to overseeing established businesses with annual revenues exceeding $20 million. Prior to venturing into the private sector, Joe honed his skills as an auditor in public accounting, gaining valuable insights into the financial landscapes of businesses, non-profit organizations, foundations, and retirement plans.

Joe's dedication to his profession is evident in his achievements. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Oklahoma and received the Honorable Mention Award from the Oklahoma Society of CPAs for successfully completing all four sections of the CPA exam on his first attempt in November 2019. He is an active member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs, serving on the Oklahoma Society of CPAs Tax Committee and contributing as a writer for the CPAFOCUS publication. Joe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage (graduating cum laude) and a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Phoenix (graduating summa cum laude).

Beyond his professional pursuits, Joe is deeply committed to community service. He serves as the Treasurer for the Haskell County Angel Tree Association and the Finance Chair for First Methodist Church in Stigler. In his leisure time, Joe enjoys working with cattle, running marathons, and exploring new destinations with his family.
