Our History
Pro Data IV, the parent company of Compass Accounting Group, was founded in 1986 by four owners with backgrounds in technology and accounting. From the beginning, we were focused on meeting the needs of small businesses. We designed and programmed an accounting software package called Business Solutions Software, which quickly gained popularity. As we grew, we continued to evolve our software and hardware products, installing networks of personal computers in small business offices. It was during this time that we began offering bookkeeping services to our clients, which eventually led to the creation of Compass Accounting Group.
