Our firm is led by Dora Jean Dyson, CPA, CGMA, who has been in the industry for over three decades. Dora Jean is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, CTCPA, PCPS, and CGMA. Alongside her, we have Shawnee Miller, CPA, who has been with the firm for over twelve years and is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs, Central Texas TXCPA, AICPA, and the National Honors Society of Leadership and Success. Our team also includes Jesus Angulo, an accounting intern who graduated from McLennan Community College with an associate's degree in accounting and is currently pursuing his BBA in accounting at Tarleton State University.

Our history dates back to December 1983 when John Marcy Winn, CPA, of Austin, Texas, purchased the former Lucille Brown tax practice. Dora Jean Dyson was employed to manage the firm in Gatesville and eventually purchased the firm from Mr. Winn in December 1986, changing the firm name to Dora Jean Dyson, CPA.

Our primary reason for existence is to serve in a Christian-based firm, helping clients to maximize their potential while obeying the requirements of the law. Our goals are to provide excellent up-to-date services, offer employees an opportunity for a lifestyle and working environment that is both enjoyable and rewarding, and contribute to the community and profession in which we belong - both as individuals and as a firm.
