At Simply Balanced Bookkeeping, our mission is to empower small business owners to make informed decisions about their companies by managing their finances with ease. Our team, led by founder Patti Spilsbury, has over 20 years of experience with QuickBooks and a passion for simplifying the financial lives of entrepreneurs.

Founding Story

Patti's journey began as an elementary education teacher, but after teaching for 7 years, she "retired" to manage the bookkeeping for her family's tree care company, Tree Doctors North, Inc. For over 15 years, she managed all financial aspects of the business, becoming a QuickBooks expert in the process. When the tree business was sold, Patti started Simply Balanced Bookkeeping in 2012, receiving additional QuickBooks training and certifications to help small business owners like you.

Bookkeeping: We categorize your bank transactions, reconcile bank accounts, and provide accurate financial statements.

Payroll Set-Up: Our experts will help you set up and maintain your payroll service with QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Processing 1099's: Every January, we'll file and send 1099s to the subcontractors you pay.

Set-Up & Training: Whether you're new to QuickBooks Online or transitioning from QuickBooks Desktop, we'll help you set up and master the basics.

Sales Tax Filing: We'll file and pay your monthly, quarterly, or annual sales taxes, taking care of your tax obligations.

Technical Support: Sometimes all you need is the answer to a question. We're here to help, providing quick and accurate answers to your QuickBooks questions.
